Car crashes into Montgomery Village area home

A man suspected of driving while drunk drove through a front yard and into an east Santa Rosa home, police said Tuesday.

Adrian Mijares, 38, drove a 1994 Ford Mustang into the front of a Hahman Avenue home Monday night at about 10 p.m., Sgt. Rich Celli reported.

The Santa Rosa man wasn't injured in the crash and no one apparently was inside of the Montgomery Village neighborhood home at the time.

Mijares was driving east on Sonoma Avenue and turning onto Hahman Drive when he accelerated, lost control and hit a curb, Celli said.

The Mustang drove over the sidewalk, across the yard and hit the residence, causing some damage to a small area of house siding. He also drove through a wooden planter box.

Mijares had a .13 percent blood alcohol level after the crash.
