A Glen Ellen resident who suffered major injuries in a wreck Monday evening was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving, according to the CHP.

Clayton Pinkham, 46, crashed at about 6 p.m. while driving on rural Warm Springs Road near Sonoma Mountain Road.

His black Isuzu ran off of the roadway and hit a fence and several trees, CHP Officer Kerri Post said. There were no other vehicles involved.

Glen Ellen firefighters responded and had to pull a door off of the wrecked vehicle to free the driver.

Pinkham was arrested but was released to the hospital because of his injuries.
