An injured man was found early Wednesday along Highway 101, north of Ukiah, prompting an investigation by Mendocino County Sheriff’s deputies.

Initial calls just after 7 a.m. to the California Highway Patrol indicated the pedestrian was found at least partially in the roadway, just north of Reeves Canyon Road on the highway’s southbound side.

It wasn’t clear whether a vehicle was involved and the CHP turned over the investigation to sheriff’s deputies, according to law officials.

Further information wasn’t available Wednesday.
