What appeared to be a human foot washed ashore Tuesday on Doran Beach on the Sonoma Coast.

A state parks ranger reported the foot about 1:45 p.m. on the beach near the Cypress day use area, Sonoma County sheriff’s Sgt. Spencer Crum said.

Coroner and violent crimes detectives were investigating the finding.
