A Santa Rosa woman is accused of embezzling nearly $300,000 from a San Carlos technology company where she used to work, investigators said.

Tina Cabudoy, 50, was arrested March 20 on suspicion of embezzlement and on a bench warrant, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.

An investigation began in June when the company reported embezzlement. It was several months before Cabudoy was identified as a suspect.

San Mateo County Superior Court records show she was charged in December with 35 counts of embezzlement, mostly felonies.

As of Tuesday, she remained in custody at the Maple Street Correctional Center in Redwood City in lieu of $200,000 bail.

Her next court appearance is scheduled for April 3, when she’s expected to enter a plea.
