Sonoma County sheriff’s detectives seized 2 pounds of methamphetamine, a pound of marijuana and $14,500 in cash from a Santa Rosa man Tuesday while serving a search warrant.

Ramiro Faburita-Reyes, 31, was stopped by detectives as he drove his 2006 Nissan 350Z away from his home on the 100 block of Bellevue Avenue around 4:35 p.m., according to a statement released by the Sheriff’s Office. Two grams of meth were found in the sports car, and upon searching Faburita-Reyes’ home, detectives found the 3 pounds of meth and pot, plus cash and a digital scale, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The meth alone had a street value of about $36,000, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Faburita-Reyes was booked into the Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of transportation and possession of narcotics for sale, and his bail set at $200,000. He was convicted in 2014 for conspiracy and possession of methamphetamine, according to the Sheriff’s Office, but is no longer on probation or parole.
