Santa Rosa narcotics detectives on Thursday arrested two suspected cocaine dealers who were keeping inside their southwest Santa Rosa home significant amounts of drugs, cash and a small arsenal of weapons, police said.

The arrest came after a four-month investigation into cocaine sales and distribution throughout Sonoma County, police said. The investigation led detectives to John Conway-Telesmanic, 24, of Santa Rosa. Police said Conway-Telesmanic was selling large quantities of cocaine in the city and was using his Olive Street home as a base of operations.

On Thursday, after investigators obtained a search warrant, police detectives and agents with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration staked out Conway-Telesmanic’s home.

At one point, Conway-Telesmanic was seen leaving his home and driving to the parking lot of Chevy’s Restaurant near Railroad Square, where detectives detained him and served the search warrant.

Detectives detained several people at the home and also arrested Julia Smith, 28, who lives at the residence.

Detectives located three loaded handguns, about half a kilogram of cocaine, Xanax, crack cocaine, ecstasy and psilocybin mushrooms, as well as scales and packaging. In addition to weapons, police found ammunition and $17,214 in cash.

Firearms seized from the house included two short-barreled AR-15 pistols, an AK-47 assault rifle and a 12-gauge sawed-off shotgun.

Both Conway-Telesmanic and Smith were arrested on suspicion of possessing cocaine for sale, possession of high-capacity magazines and possession of illegal firearms. The two were booked into Sonoma County Jail.

Police said anyone with information about the drug operation should contact the Santa Rosa Police Department at 707-543-3600.
