Spring Lake water park opens Saturday

Spring Lake Regional Park's expanded float park reopens this weekend with new pricing and additions to the fleet of rentable kayaks, paddleboards, canoes and pedal boats.|

An inflatable water park that ?debuted last year reopens this weekend at Spring Lake Regional Park with adjusted pricing for adults and season passes to make it more affordable to families.

The floating park at the Spring Lake swimming lagoon also has been expanded, with additions to the fleet of rentable kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, canoes and pedal boats, said David Robinson, park programs manager for Sonoma County Regional Parks. ?The water park is an inflatable ?playground on the surface of the swimming lagoon inside Spring Lake Park, allowing visitors to bounce, climb and skid on connected trampolines, bridges, slides and other structures linked together.

More than 15,000 admissions to the water park were sold last year.

The fees are $10 for children and adults.

There also are $60 season passes available that include a daily, one-hour boat rental on Spring Lake, and $20 day passes that include a one-hour boat rental, usually $12 on its own, Robinson said.

The water park is chlorinated and tested weekly. Swimming is free, though parking is $7.

The water park, swimming lagoon and boat concessions, run by the county this year, will be open from 11 a.m. to ?6 p.m. daily, from Saturday through Labor Day.
