Three Lake County men remain jailed on child porn possession

Three Lake County men remain jailed following unrelated arrests for possession of child pornography in April and May, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office reported Tuesday.

Daniel Wood, 35, of Middletown, was arrested April 19; Scott Davis, 44, of Clearlake Oaks, was arrested April 30; and Jose Mendoza, 24, of Upper Lake, was arrested May 18, sheriff’s officials reported Tuesday.

All three were arrested as the result of cyber tips sent to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and then investigated by the Sheriff’s Office, said Lt. Steve Brooks.

The sheriff’s Major Crimes Unit spent hours reviewing thousands of images seized through warrants at residences, on electronic devices and from electronic service providers, officials said.
