The CHP arrested a Sonoma woman Monday on suspicion of driving under the influence and child endangerment after she crashed her pickup while driving her three children.

Marjolein Wood, 38, was taken to Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa with moderate injuries after the 3:20 p.m. crash on rural Lovall Valley Road, said CHP Officer Marc Renspurger Tuesday.

Her children suffered what appeared to be minor injuries but her 8-year-old son was flown by medical helicopter to Children’s Hospital Oakland as a precaution, and a son, 10, and daughter, 5, were taken by ambulance to the Napa hospital as a precaution, Renspurger said. Everyone in the pickup had on seat belts and the youngest was in a car seat.

Wood was driving a 2012 Toyota Tundra east of Sonoma when she ran a stop sign at Lovall Valley Court and crashed into a guard rail, Renspurger said. The truck had major front-end damage.

Officers arrested Wood and released her to the hospital due to her injuries.
