Graton vehicle chase leads to DUI and weapons arrest

A pursuit Tuesday led to the arrest of a Sebastopol man for allegedly drunk driving and possessing loaded weapons.|

A CHP vehicle pursuit Tuesday led to the arrest of a 34-year-old Sebastopol resident on suspicion of drunken driving and possessing loaded weapons.

A CHP officer attempted to stop Brandon Tanner in Graton after he drove his Toyota Highlander through a red light while eastbound on Highway 116 at the Vine Hill Road intersection around 4:35 p.m., the CHP said.

Tanner led the officer on a chase down Mueller Road to a private dirt driveway, onto Kamuela Road and into his own driveway, the CHP said.

Tanner was found to be under the influence of alcohol, and when officers searched Tanner’s vehicle multiple loaded firearms were found, the CHP said.

Tanner was booked into Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of DUI, possession of loaded firearms, evading police and driving without a license.
