An array of electric cars, motorcycles, bicycles and a tractor will be on display Saturday during a free Drive Electric Day in Old Courthouse Square.

Sonoma Clean Power, the public agency that supplies electricity to 600,000 Sonoma and Mendocino County customers, is sponsoring the 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. event.

Representatives of local car dealers will be on hand, offering free test drives of numerous electric vehicles, including Chevrolet Bolts and Volts, Kias and others made by Ford, Nissan, BMW, Mercedes and Volkswagen.

About 18 EV owners will answer questions and describe their driving experiences in Sonoma County.

Sonoma Clean Power will offer information on its Drive Evergreen program, which includes incentives and rebates that can trim thousands from the purchase or lease cost of an EV.

Local nonprofits, solar vendors and government agencies will offer information on renewable energy, building efficiency and other topics.
