The Santa Rosa Police Department plans to set up a DUI checkpoint at an undisclosed location Friday night from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m.
More than 1,000 cars were screened at the last checkpoint July 21 on Morgan Street between Third and Fifth Streets.
The operation resulted in six DUI arrests, 34 people cited or arrested for driving without a license and three picked up on outstanding warrants, police said.
Santa Rosa police said high visibility enforcement, including checkpoints, have been shown to reduce the number of people killed and injured in DUI-related accidents.
