Santa Rosa teen sexually harassed by man at bus stop

A 14-year-old girl was harassed by an older man who made explicit sexual advances while she was at a bus stop in Santa Rosa on Monday morning, police said.

The girl reported the incident to police after the man came up to her around 7:30 a.m. as she waited at the intersection of Bennett Valley Road and Santa Rosa Avenue, Santa Rosa Police said.

The suspect, believed to be in his 30s or 40s with a beard and a bald head, asked the victim her age and then asked if he could sit next to her, police said.

She said no, but the suspect then described sexual acts he wanted to do to her, police said. The victim ran from the area fearing for her safety, police said.
