Since starting in 2000, the Sonoma Raceway's annual Thanksgiving Food Drive has collected totaled about 34 tons of food for area food banks. In the wake of the devastating North Bay wildfires, any food collected this year takes on a greater significance: feeding fire victims.

Collections will be distributed to Friends In Sonoma Helping (FISH) and the Redwood Empire Food Bank.

In 2016, organizers collected more than 1,600 pounds of nonperishable food. This year, they hope to best that.

Nonperishable items can be dropped off at the following locations:

Sonoma Raceway (at gate 1 or the main office), 29355 Arnold Drive, Sonoma

Sonoma Valley Fire & Rescue Authority, 620 Second Street West, Sonoma

Schell-Vista fire station, 22950 Broadway, Sonoma

Sonoma Market, 500 West Napa Street, Sonoma

Glen Ellen Village Market, 13751 Arnold Drive, Glen Ellen

RKA Motorcycle Luggage, 7694 Bell Road, Windsor
