A Southern California driver stopped late Monday night by a Sonoma County sheriff’s deputy for a traffic issue went to the Sonoma County jail after deputies found a stash of cocaine in his car, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Eleven baggies, holding about one gram each of cocaine, were in the center console and cup holder of the man’s Nissan Altima, Sgt. Spencer Crum said in a news release.
The deputy stopped the driver on Old Redwood Highway and Fulton Road about 11 p.m. due to the driver’s weaving in his lane, Crum said. The driver had no identification, leading to the car search.
Deputies arrested Michael Reynoso, 26, of Redondo Beach on suspicion of misdemeanor drug possession and driving on a suspended license. He remained in jail Tuesday morning in lieu of $2,500 bail.
