The notorious 2015 murder at Dahl Vineyards near Yountville will reach a primetime audience Saturday as CBS’ “48 Hours” program examines the events that led to the shooting.

The episode description reads: “Ambition, greed and gunshots at a Napa Valley winery. How did a bag of cash - almost ?$1 million - lead to murder in a vineyard?”

In March 2015, vintner Robert Dahl shot investor Emad Tawfilis during a dispute over a $1.2 million loan from Tawfilis to the Napa Valley winemaker.

The two men met at Dahl’s winery to discuss repayment of the loan when Dahl opened fire, shooting Tawfilis four times with a .22-caliber semiautomatic handgun as the Los Gatos man called 911 for help and tried to run away.

As deputies arrived at the winery, Dahl executed Tawfilis with a final shot to the head and drove off. Deputies chased Dahl, who killed himself after crashing his SUV.

The episode will air at 10 p.m. Saturday on CBS.
