Night roadwork will close parts of Highway 116 in and around Sebastopol at various times over the next two weeks.

Caltrans’ “roadway rehabilitation” is scheduled to start Monday and run through Jan. 26 between Mill Station Road on the north edge of town and Cooper Road on the south.

The work includes key business and commercial districts of the community. Caltrans said it has worked with city officials to minimize disruptions. The work would run between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. in most areas, though work on some segments would not begin until 10 p.m., according to the following schedule:

Mill Station Road to Covert Lane (Highway 116 eastbound/westbound) — 7 p.m.-7 a.m.

Covert Lane to McKinley Street (Highway 116 eastbound/westbound) — 10 p.m.-7 a.m.

McKinley Street to Petaluma Avenue (Highway 116 eastbound) — 7 p.m.-7 a.m.

Petaluma Avenue to McKinley Street (Highway 116 westbound) — 7 p.m.-7 a.m.

Petaluma Avenue to Cooper Road (Highway 116 eastbound) —7 p.m.-7 a.m.

Cooper Road to Petaluma Avenue (Highway 116 westbound) — 10 p.m.-7 a.m.

Heavy rain could cause delays on some roadways.

Crews are expected to return to the area later to add striping and other improvements.
