Santa Rosa police urged drivers to avoid Brush Creek Road between Montecito Boulevard and Badger Road Monday morning after a vehicle slammed into a pole, knocking down power lines.

No one was injured in the single-car crash, which was reported around 7 a.m., a Redcom emergency dispatcher said. Police closed the road because of the downed lines. They're asking drivers to use Middle Rincon Road for the next several hours.
