Police bust hash oil lab in Lakeport
Lake County detectives seized ?10 pounds of marijuana shake and 92 grams of cannabis concentrate in a hash oil lab bust Wednesday, the Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
Dustin Lee Brey, 44, of Kelseyville, was arrested after he told deputies he owned the lab, the release said.
Hash oil labs create high-THC cannabis concentrates known as dabs or shatter by blasting butane through the plant to extract its oils, then evaporating the butane. The leftover cannabis concentrates can be retailed for $75 to $150 per gram, depending on the quality.
A Florida man and a Missouri man were arrested in the bust, which happened inside a rented office space on Skypark Drive, the release said.
Justin Michael Richardson, 21, of Summerfield, Florida, was arrested on a marijuana-related warrant out of Florida, and Cody Alan Harrell, 30, of Springfield, Missouri, was wanted on a warrant out of Missouri after he violated parole, the release said.
