Gunman robs Santa Rosa gas station

A Santa Rosa gas station was robbed Saturday night by a man who pointed a gun at the clerk, then took money from the cash register.

The holdup was reported at Fast Lane Gas & Mini Mart, 50 W. College Ave., around 9:30 p.m.

According to initial reports, the robber pointed a .22-caliber pistol at the clerk and helped himself to the money.

He was described as Caucasian, between 25 and 30 years old, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, wearing a black sweatshirt with the hood up and a green bandana over his face.

He was last seen on foot, southbound on North Dutton Avenue.
