A Larkfield man was arrested Tuesday when detectives uncovered at his home an arsenal of firearms, including illegal assault weapons, homemade silencers and high-capacity magazines, as well as drugs and a makeshift hash-oil lab, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

An investigation into the illegal sale of firearms led detectives to Jacob Kornblue’s home on Corbett Circle, near San Miguel Elementary School, the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office said. Kornblue, 37, was pulling up to his home when detectives executed a search warrant and found him carrying a loaded semiautomatic handgun in a shoulder holster and an illegal AR-15 variant in his motorcycle saddle bag, deputies said.

“Someone reported to detectives that this person was trying to sell guns and gave us enough probable cause to get a search warrant,” Sheriff’s Sgt. Spencer Crum said.

Detectives also found on the suspect a second loaded handgun, a small amount of cocaine and more than $3,000 before searching the home, where they seized several high-capacity magazines that can hold 30 to 50 rounds each, two homemade silencers and 12 additional firearms, including an AK-47-style assault weapon and a short barreled rifle, the Sheriff’s Office said.

In addition to the firearms, detectives said they also found a butane hash oil lab and about a pound of hash oil in the home.

Kornblue, suspected of multiple drug and weapons offenses, was booked into Sonoma County Jail on $100,000 bail.
