A Santa Rosa couple this week was arrested for the second time in four months on suspicion of selling methamphetamine.

Jose Ramirez Ibarra, 37, and his wife, Reveriana Torres Cruz, 34, were booked Tuesday into the Sonoma County Jail for possession of the drug for sale, as well as for conspiracy, maintaining a residence for the purpose of narcotics trafficking and dealing narcotics while out on bail or on pretrial release, according to Santa Rosa police. Their bail amount was $500,000 each.

The couple was first arrested Feb. 8 by Santa Rosa narcotics officers at a home in the 6400 block of Old Redwood Highway outside Santa Rosa. Three pounds of methamphetamine and over $80,000 in cash were seized, according to a police press release.

After Cruz and Ibarra were released from jail, detectives in April began an investigation into whether the couple continued to deal drugs.

On Tuesday, officers stopped the couple and searched a residence linked to them in the 900 block of Gemini Drive in Santa Rosa. At the residence detectives seized over a pound of methamphetamine and about $5,000 in cash.
