Firefighters quickly extinguished two small fires on Highway 101 Sunday morning, near the Central Windsor exit.

The grass fires were reported to dispatchers at 10:55 a.m., and were extinguished by 11:11 a.m.

No lane closures were reported.

Fire crews from Windsor, Rincon Valley, Healdsburg and Cal Fire responded to the scene.

Witnesses originally reported to dispatchers that the fires might have been sparked by a truck towing a boat, but CHP officers could not find the driver.

The cause of the fires remains unknown, the CHP said.
