A firefighter's heroism isn't reserved just for people, as shown by a too-cute video posted to the Bodega Bay Firefighters Association's Facebook page.

The video, posted on July 13, shows firefighter and paramedic Nate Buck rescuing a raccoon from the water at a marina in Bodega Bay.

The animal appeared to be trapped under a dock and was "struggling to stay afloat and clinging for its life" according to the firefighters.

Seeing the animal, Buck and colleagues leapt into action, using a borrowed fishing net to scoop the terrified cutie to safety.

The video ends with the dazed animal being led to some nearby bushes, but the firefighters assured viewers that the raccoon was taken to the Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue for care.

The Association says ""We are hoping for the speedy recovery of this cute fella!"
