The Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria will donate $280,000 to underwrite all of the Redwood Empire Food Bank's hunger-relief programs in Rohnert Park for a year.

Through seven programs at 14 locations in Rohnert Park, the food bank each year distributes 840,000 pounds of food, enough to feed about 1,110 households, the agency said.

The donation will free up dollars for other programs and services, such as disaster relief for those impacted by recent blazes, including the Mendocino Complex fires, said Kevin West, a food bank spokesman.
