Two arrested in west Santa Rosa home on drug offenses

Santa Rosa police detained 17 people and arrested 2 suspects Wednesday at a home in west Santa Rosa where for several years neighbors complained of drug activity and overdoses, officials said.

Following an investigation, Santa Rosa police detectives, using a police drone, served a search warrant at a Guerneville Road address and rounded up 17 people. Officials said the property west of Marlow Road included a main house, some outbuildings, tents, campers, and numerous vehicles.

Detectives seized about 4 ounces of crystal methamphetamine, heroin, various prescription stimulant medications and nearly $2,000. Items related to drug use and trafficking, such as packaging and scales, were found inside the main house, police said.

Police also found a variety of power tools and equipment, including an air compressor that had been reported stolen, inside the outbuildings.

The main resident at the property, Curtis Huffman, 59, was arrested on suspicion of possession for sale of meth and heroin and maintaining a residence for the purposes of drug trafficking. Another resident, Timothy Escallier, 26, was arrested on suspicion of violating probation, possession of meth, and being a felon in possession of ammunition.

Both were booked at the Sonoma County Jail.
