Rohnert Park police are seeking the public’s help identifying the suspect in a break-in at a local hobby shop specializing in remote control vehicles and aircraft.

They released surveillance photos of the thief and the getaway car involved in the early Wednesday heist at Jake’s Performance Hobbies on Commerce Boulevard.

The suspect threw a rock at the glass door and broke in around 4 a.m., the Rohnert Park Public Safety Department said. He stacked up several boxed toys and fled in what appeared to be a silver four-door Hyundai Sonata with paper plates.

Authorities described the suspect as a black man with a mustache and goatee, wearing a gray hoodie.

Anyone who recognizes the man in the photo or has information about the theft should call Rohnert Park police at 707-584-2600.
