A man's decomposing body was discovered Sunday in Kenwood, and a Sonoma County Sheriff's Office spokesman said Tuesday the investigation so far has turned up no signs of foul play.

On Tuesday, authorities identified the body as Aaron Winokur, 51, of Napa.

Kenwood residents found his body Sunday morning in a dry creek bed near Griswold Avenue and Highway 12. His body, fully clothed and lying on his back, 'was in an advanced state of decomposition and appeared to have been there for some time,' according to a statement from the Sheriff's Office.

Detectives from the violent crimes unit and the coroner's office responded to investigate the death.

A forensic pathologist has conducted an autopsy and 'found no signs that the man had been killed,' according to the Sheriff's statement.

The cause of death remains undetermined as the coroner's office awaits toxicology results, which Sgt. Spencer Crum said typically will take four to six weeks.
