Santa Rosa police have identified the motorcyclist who died Sunday after crashing into a car on Highway 12.

Gregory Moore, 48, of Santa Rosa, struck the rear of a Honda Civic near the Indian Creek Drive intersection at about 9:20 p.m. Saturday, throwing the man from his motorcycle, police said Monday.

Speed appears to have been a factor in the crash, police said.

On Monday, police also identified the Honda driver as Yolanda Coria Figueroa, 56, of Santa Rosa. Figueroa, who wasn’t cited, didn’t see the motorcycle before turning onto the road, police said.

Moore was unresponsive when first responders arrived at the crash site Saturday night. He died Sunday morning after being hospitalized, police said.

Santa Rosa police urged anyone with information on the crash to call Officer Jeff Adams at 707-543-3636.
