One injured in Highway 116 crash

One person was sent to the hospital in a three-vehicle crash in the 5800 block of Highway 116, the first in a series of crashes Rancho Adobe Fire responded to on Thursday.

The agency then responded to a non-injury crash at Petaluma Hill Road and Keizer Avenue.

In the third crash of the day, a vehicle lost control and went up a small pedestrian bridge in Cotati, ending up on its side. The driver refused medical attention.

The accidents prompted a reminder to the public on Facebook to drive with caution, especially as rain approaches this weekend.
