Video: Faulty chairlift hurls skiers and snowboarders from it at Georgia ski resort

A terrifying video went viral this Friday of skiers and snowboarders being hurled off of a chairlift at Georgia's Gudauri Resort. Onlookers captured footage of the chairlift traveling at almost twice its usual speed as guests were thrown from it. According to Georgia Today, eight people were injured.

It has been reported that the resort is in contact with the company who makes the lifts, and further investigation will be permitted to uncover the cause of the malfunction.
