Cal women top Washington State 67-54

PULLMAN, Wash. — Kristine Anigwe tied her season high with 30 points and Cal beat Washington State 67-54 on Friday night.

Anigwe was 14 of 19 from the field to go with 12 rebounds for the Golden Bears (19-9, 10-7 Pac-12), who have won four of their last five. Anigwe has 10 30-point games in her career.

Cal pulled away with the first 11 points of the third quarter and outscored the Cougars 22-6 in the period. Washington State trailed by as many as 22 in the fourth and got no closer than the final score.

The Bears made 31 of 54 (57 percent) from the field and held the Cougars to 20 of 64 (31 percent). Washington State attempted 26 3-pointers and made nine.

Alexys Swedlund had 19 points to lead the Cougars (10-19, 3-14).
