Thumbs up: Bay Area sports fans on air
We have to give a thumbs up to the Golden State Warriors for giving life to waning Bay Area hopes - at least until the fourth quarter on Saturday's game - for a third NBA championship.
The superlatives describing Klay Thompson's 41-point outburst to save game No. 6 still linger in the air like the blue and gold confetti at Oracle Arena. The same can be said of the team's performance in clinching game seven on Monday, especially for No. 30 Stephen Curry. These are the stories of movie scripts.
Not to be forgotten, these also are good times for fans of the San Jose Sharks (playing in their first Stanley Cup final) and the San Francisco Giants (leading the National League West Division by four games.)
Here's the Bay Area forecast for June: More confetti.
