Lanes open after several injured in 6-vehicle collision in Napa County

A six-vehicle pileup southwest of Napa sent two people to the hospital and shut down Highway 29 between Highway 12 and the Napa River Bridge Tuesday morning for more than an hour.

The chain reaction was apparently caused when a 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500 driven by Tyronne William Neal of Stocken struck the back of a 2013 Toyota Corolla, according to Napa CHP public information officer Anna Paulson.

The impact pushed the Corolla into a 2012 Dodge Voyager, which then struck a 2007 Chevy 2500 which then crashed into a 1995 Ford F250. The Voyager spun across the center lane of the highway and also struck a 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 head on.

Lisa Elizabeth Legg, 24, the driver of the Voyager and Hilda Waichung Nip, 46, of Cupertino, who was driving the Corolla, suffered minor to moderate injuries in the wreck and were taken to Queen of the Valley Hospital, Paulsen said. Two adult passengers in the Voyager who were not identified by the CHP, were also transported to the hospital with what were described as minor injuries, she said.
