49ers Hot Reads: Ex-official helping with replay challenges
One of Mike Singletary’s first moves after taking over as interim coach for fired Mike Nolan was to make an addition to the team’s game-day coaches’ booth.
Ron Blum, who spent 23 seasons as an NFL official and called two Super Bowls before retiring at the end of last season, joined the five members of the 49ers’ coaching staff upstairs for games when Singletary took over.
