Nelson's brutal honesty about Warriors is sad statement
OAKLAND
This is what Don Nelson said last Saturday just before the Warriors lost to the Knicks in New York: “It’s a situation where we have a year where we’re probably not going to be a playoff team.”
It was a startling statement because he never had been so frontal this season. He’d talked around the situation, stressed how young his team is but he didn’t come right out and say, no way.
