ROSELAND COMMUNITY FESTIVAL, OCT. 1

Santa Rosa: This inaugural event features live music by popular Sonoma County bands Oddjob Ensemble and the Easy Leaves Duo, both recipients of grants from Creative Sonoma, which is also co-sponsoring the festival. Banda Pacifica and DJ Rob Cervantes also will perform. The event runs from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Roseland Village Neighborhood Center, 555 Sebastopol Road. North Bay Cabaret will present circus acts, comedy, belly dancing, poetry slams and more. Santa Rosa: El Dia de los Muertos exhibit, featuring the regional folk art of Mexico City, Oaxaca and Michocan, with altars in the Oaxacan and Michoan styles, and an altar dedicated to 110 years of Frida Kahlo's art, plus a children's altar and a community altar. $7-$10; children 12 and younger, free.
