The Golden State Warriors, off to the best start in franchise history with 19 victories in their first 21 games, return to the road this weekend for back-to-back games in Texas and Louisiana without their starting center.

Andrew Bogut had his injured right knee drained and will sit out games Saturday in Dallas against the Mavericks and Sunday’s contest in New Orleans against the Pelicans. His status for Tuesday night’s game in Memphis against the Grizzlies - the second-best team in the Western Conference at 18-4 - remains uncertain.

Bogut has tendinitis in the knee and will be re-evaluated Monday, the team said Friday. He left Monday night’s 102-86 win in Minnesota early in the first quarter with the injury.

The 7-foot Bogut is averaging 7.1 points, 9.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 20 games.

The Warriors (19-2) are riding a 14-game winning streak heading into Saturday's game at Dallas.

The contest in Dallas will be the first meeting of the season between the Warriors and the Mavericks (17-7), who are led by former Warrior Monta Ellis with 20.6 points per game.

Golden State already has a win over New Orleans (11-11). The Warriors routed the Pelicans 112-85 on Dec. 4 in Oakland. Leading New Orleans is power forward Anthony Davis (25.1 ppg/10.6 rebounds per game).

Like the Mavericks, Memphis has yet to play the Warriors. The Grizzlies, led by Marc Gasol (19.5 ppg) and Zach Randolph (15.7 ppg/11.0 rpg), have won three in a row and 12 of their last 15 games.
