Letters to the sports editor
Ignoring tennis
EDITOR: Once again it looks like tennis doesn't rate coverage in The Press Democrat.
Novak Djokovic won the French Open on Sunday, June 5. This was his fourth attempt and the one Open he hadn't won. It is a big achievement but not one word appeared in your paper. What's up with that?

Cavs concede
EDITOR: Has this ever happened in an NBA playoff game? Late in Game 1, with Golden State holding a commanding lead of 104-89 against Cleveland, the Cavaliers regained possession with about 17 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter.
After crossing half-court with about 15 seconds left, Cleveland did not attempt to score. Instead, the Cavaliers held the ball in deference to the Warriors' superior play until the final buzzer sounded!
Paul A. Lounibos, Petaluma
Bad photo choice
In Game 1 of th NBA Finals, when Shawn Livingston scored the most points, why didn't he have his picture on the front or at least one of The Press Democrat's pages instead of Stephen Curry or Klay Thompson?
There's already plenty of coverage of these two; why not take the opportunity to use all the photo space to feature the reserves who made it possible for the Warriors to win?
Janet Felker, Santa Rosa
