The visitors did all their scoring in the first inning. Andrew Vaughn, Jo Bynum and winning pitcher Ryan Sellner each singled. Ukiah helped out by making three errors.

The Wildcats had runners on second and third in the seventh but Sellner shut the door.

The 11 runs represent the most the Gauchos have scored in an inning this season.

Windsor led 3-0 through five innings.

Spencer Torkelson was the winning pitcher while Tanner Kane took the loss.

Casa is 16-5 overall and 8-4 in league; Windsor is 10-12 and 3-9.

At Montgomery, Colin Prince had a big game for the Vikings. The senior collected two hits and picked up a save by pitching the seventh inning.

“It was a game we needed to win to have a chance at playoffs,” Montgomery coach Zac Ward said. “The pitching was solid.”

The Vikings had five hits, including a triple by Ian Coit.

Rancho finished with six hits, with two of those coming off the bat of Oscar Urbina.

Both Montgomery and the Cougars are 6-6 in league.

At Cardinal Newman, Beau Barrington's chopper over the third baseman's head scored Drew Oliver with the winning run.
