It's time to say goodbye to another year, so why not do it in style? To find the best way to honor the impending demise of the year 2015, here are 15 fun New Year's Eve events from which to choose. They're divided into four categories: music, comedy, dance and theater.

MUSIC

'New Year's Eve Cabaret,' 6th Street Playhouse. Sandy and Richard Riccardi return with their original, all-comedy show to the Studio Theater at the 6th Street Playhouse, 52 W. 'New Year's Eve Dinner and Dance,' French Garden Restaurant. Music by the Susan Comstock Swingtet. Five-course dinner seatings from 5 to 6:30 and 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Dance party for age 21 and over from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. French Garden, 8050 Bodega Ave., Sebastopol. 'A Night in Vienna,' Hermann Sons Hall. 'Mahalia Jackson: Just as I Am,' Cinnabar Theater. Sharon E. Scott stars in this onstage tribute to the great gospel singer, conceived and written by Scott. 'Serial Murderess,' Main Stage West. A dark musical comedy about homicidal women, set in 1645, 1842 and 1999, opens with a special 'Killer New Year's Party' and performance, with food and drinks, at 8 p.m. Main Stage West, 104 N.
