The local Youth Sports Network will stream a live webcast of the Cardinal Newman-Valley Christian playoff game on Friday.

Founder Dave Cox, who provides video and audio broadcasts throughout the year on YSN365.com, is working with a South Bay broadcaster to produce the playoff show.

Cox will call the play-by-play of the Cardinals-Warriors game while Steve Nicolopulos of the Bay Area Online Sports Network will provide color commentary.

The free broadcast was made possible by sponsors, Cox said, who helped cover most of the $750 fee rights-holder Time-Warner of Southern California required.

The 7:30 p.m. game in San Jose can be viewed online or on a smartphone through www.ysn365.com/live, with coverage beginning at 7:20 p.m.

Winners of the Division 2-AA semifinal game advance to the CIF State Football Championship Bowl Game final on Dec. 16.
