Women's college basketball: Cal's Kristine Anigwe sets school scoring record

BERKELEY - Cal’s Kristine Anigwe scored a school-record 50 points as the Golden Bears rolled past Sacramento State 97-73 on Thursday night.

Anigwe becomes the first player in school history, male or female, to score 50 points. She shot 19-of-23 from the floor and went 12-of-19 from the free-throw line.

She also had 14 rebounds for the Golden Bears (8-0), who are off to the best start in program history.

Mo Mosley came off the bench to score 11 points for Cal, the only other player to score in double digits.

Ashlyn Crenshaw scored 13 points for the Hornets (3-6). Alexa Mefi had 12 points and a career-high eight rebounds.

Asha Thomas and Courtney Range each had six assists for the Golden Bears, who shot 57.1 percent from the field and had 29 assists on 40 field goals.

Cal outrebounded Sacramento State 61-40.
