49ers add offensive linemen; cut 13 players

The 49ers released the players to make room for draft picks and undrafted free agents.|

SANTA CLARA — The San Francisco 49ers have signed offensive linemen Tim Barnes and Brandon Fusco to one-year contracts.

The 49ers also released 13 players Tuesday to make room for draft picks and undrafted free agents expected to join the team later this week.

Barnes started all 32 games at center the past two seasons for the Rams. He has played in 77 games with 36 starts in his five-year career.

Fusco spent the past six seasons with Minnesota after being drafted in the sixth round by the Vikings in 2011. He made 64 regular-season starts, including 14 last season at right guard.

San Francisco released offensive lineman Alex Balducci; defensive backs Marcus Ball and JaCorey Shepherd; linebackers Carl Bradford, Jayson DiManche, Wynton McManis and Shayne Skov; tight end Je'Ron Hamm; receivers Chris Harper and Eric Rogers; defensive linemen Zach Moore and Mike Purcell; and punter Brock Miller.
