Raiders' Derek Carr has big plans after signing record-breaking $125 million contract

With a five-year contract extension worth $125 million, Raiders quarterback Derek Carr is now officially the highest paid NFL player in history.

MarketWatch spotted a tweet by the NFL Network on what Derek Carr is going to do with all that cash.

'Chick-fil-A,' Carr said jokingly during a press conference Friday.

He then said he would buy his wife something nice, but mentioned she would beg him not to. 'She still gets coupons… she gets online and tries to find discounts and none of that's going to change,' the Fresno State grad said of his frugal wife.

The other thing Carr will splurge on? Charity.

'The exciting thing for me money wise, honestly, is that this money is going to help a lot of people,' Carr said. 'I'm thankful to have it, that it's in our hands, because it's going to help people, not only in this country, but a lot of countries around the world.'

The contract Carr signed on June 22 will pay him more in upcoming years. This is more than likely due to the team moving to Las Vegas in 2020, where there is no state income tax.
