Lucky to have Durant
EDITOR: I just read that Kevin Durant made sure key players were able to sign and then signed a contract with the Warriors for less than he could earn in order to make sure our team will retain the strengths we have to hopefully continue winning in the sharing, exciting style that makes the Warriors so special.
KD has not only fit in, he is leading and being generous in so many ways. The Bay Area is extremely fortunate to have this gentleman on our team.

Where was MLS game coverage?
EDITOR: Approximately 42,000 people poured into Stanford Stadium last Saturday night to watch the California Classico — the San Jose Earthquakes against the Los Angeles Galaxy in an MLS match.
How can nothing be written up in this paper after such a big event?
Not only was it a great game — San Jose winning in the last seconds — but the event also celebrated our brave members of the military, with four people parachuting to the field out of a passing plane, honorees at halftime and a huge fireworks show after the game.
As a longtime subscriber, I wish that soccer, both local and world, were better represented in this paper.
