Trey O'Neill scored on a pass from Luke Holt midway through the second quarter and the Middletown defense made it stand up, pitching a 7-0 shutout against Kelseyville on Friday in a North Coast Section Division 5 semifinal.

The Mustangs, seeded second in the division, improved to 9-1 with their ninth consecutive victory. They advanced to next weekend's Division 5 championship game against the winner of tonight's game between top seed St. Patrick-St. Vincent and No. 4 seed Clear Lake.

Kelseyville, the No. 3 seed, finished at 8-3.

The two North Coast League I rivals had met in September, with the Mustangs coming away from Kelseyville with a 7-6 win. The playoff rematch was at Middletown and the Knights threatened numerous times to reverse that earlier result. But six times the Mustangs defense turned over the ball on downs.

CAMPOLINDO 42, WINDSOR 7

Top seed Campolindo rolled into next weekend's Division 2 championship game with a rout of fifth-seeded Windsor.

The Cougars put together a 28-0 lead before the middle of the second quarter, then touchdown passes to Parker Windatt and Lucas Allen late in the second quarter made it 42-0 at the half and the rout was on.

Nick Pariani's 2-yard run gave the Jaguars their first touchdown.

Windsor's season ended with the Jaguars at 5-6 in coach Kevin Ballatore's first season in charge.
