With the NBA playoffs tipping off this weekend, the Golden State Warriors have issued a fraud alert about counterfeit tickets for home playoff games

The alert, issued Thursday, warned fans that third-party ticket vendors without verification could be selling forged tickets.

According to the team, during the regular season more than 800 fans were turned away from Oracle Arena in Oakland due to fake tickets.

Fans looking to see the Splash Brothers and friends take on the Western Conference en route to the NBA Finals can find new and re-sale tickets at warriors.com or by calling 1-888-GSW-HOOP.

Tickets are also sold at the Oracle Arena Box Office.

The Golden State Warriors' playoff journey commences against the San Antonio Spurs April 14 at noon in Oakland. Superstar Stephen Curry will miss the first round of the playoffs due to a sprained left MCL.
