Cal women fall to Colorado 64-59

Colorado never trailed but had to hold off a Cal surge in the fourth quarter Sunday.|

BERKELEY — Zoe Correal scored 16 points and hauled in 15 rebounds for her first double-double and Colorado held off Cal for a 64-59 win Sunday.

Alexis Robinson added 15 points, including a trio of 3-pointers, for Colorado (14-11, 4-10 Pac-12), which never trailed but had to hold off a Cal surge in the fourth quarter. The win snapped a 16-game conference road losing streak dating back to the 2015 season for the Buffaloes.

Cal (17-9, 5-9) was down by eight at the half but trimmed the deficit to two with a 7-0 spurt that included a 3-pointer from Mikayla Cowling to make it 59-57 with 2:35 left to play.

Kennedy Leonard nailed a 3-pointer at the other end to stretch Colorado's advantage back to five and sank a pair of free throws with 10 seconds left to seal it.

Kristine Anigwe scored 15 for Cal, Asha Thomas had 14 and Cowling finished with 12.
